About
Mattheus holds a doctoral degree in process engineering from ETH Zurich, focusing on carbon removal and decarbonization technologies. During this time, he scaled up a specific carbon removal process (indirect mineral carbonation) from the laboratory to an industrial pilot and concluded with a thorough economic-environmental assessment. Furthermore, as a researcher at ETH Zurich, he was part of several studies investigating the environmental performance of novel CCUS concepts. Furthermore, with six years of industry experience, Mattheus has gained know-how across diverse sectors like cement, polymer, and steel. His knowledge and expertise are now channeled toward providing consulting services to start-ups, scale-ups, and other initiatives in the carbon removal and decarbonization space.
